Interoute VDC awarded for digital technologies innovation

Interoute SpA, Italian branch of Interoute Ltd – owner operator of Europe’s largest cloud services platform has been awarded the 2012 ICMT Award in the category “TLC driven convergence”.
The award ceremony has taken place, today hosted by the President of the Italian Republic Senate Roberto Schifani, as one of the formal ceremonies characterizing the National Innovation Day. The award has been assigned to the Interoute VDC for its contribution to cloud computing in terms of simplification and security: “Interoute’s VDC allows companies relying on the internet to control their sensitive data in the cloud, to reposition them strategically with a few mouse clicks and with great costs flexibility benefiting efficiency and competitiveness”.

The ICMT Award includes 3 categories corresponding to technological developments deriving from the convergence between IT, TLC and Media. The Information, Communication and Media Technology award is part of the Innovation award program sponsored by Confindustria (The Italian Industry Confederation) to stimulate and celebrate the Italian excellence in the digital technologies field.
