Spigraph consolidates its network, compute and communications services on Interoute’s digital platform

Paris on 30 March 2016

Interoute, owner-operator of a global cloud services platform and one of Europe’s largest networks, has today announced that the Spigraph Group, a leading provider of document capture solutions in EMEA, has selected Interoute to consolidate its networking and Microsoft Lync telephony services, as well as deliver compute services from the Interoute Virtual Data Centre (VDC) global networked cloud platform.

Following Spigraph’s mergers with Dicom and Alos in 2014, Spigraph Group now has 24 sites internationally and wanted to bring its entire ICT infrastructure together with one provider. The solution from Interoute covers:

  • Network consolidation across 24 sites; Interoute implemented a MPLS-based hybrid VPN solution for the majority of sites, IP Sec for some sites, as well as Internet Access links for sites in shared offices.
  • Hosting 80 virtual machines in Interoute VDC zones in London, Paris and Geneva; Interoute worked with third party integrators to support the migration of applications and servers from Spigraph, Dicom and Alos’ existing facilities, and took the lead on the integration of the particularly business critical Microsoft Exchange messaging service.
  • Centralised VOIP across Europe; previously, Spigraph had to manage a SIP trunk for each country of operation. Interoute is now delivering one SIP platform across all of Europe, which greatly simplifies Spigraph’s management of services such as the addition of new numbers and countries. Having Interoute as its single fixed telephony supplier in Europe has also helped Spigraph reduce costs by at least 10%. Spigraph benefits from 500 direct lines and inter-country calls are included in the MPLS contract at no additional cost. Laurent Berthet, Information System Director at Spigraph, said: “As a combined business, we had three challenges: Network homogenisation for our 24 international sites, shifting our telephony to a Lync-based solution for everyone, and finding a common solution for outsourcing our hosting needs. We scoured the market to identify the right partner and found Interoute to be highly competitive, competent and responsive. Interoute was also the only provider able to deliver phone numbers in all countries that we cover. We now have just one point of contact for all our WAN and fixed telephony in Europe, which we are really happy about. We currently host 80 virtual machines spread out across the London, Paris and Geneva Interoute VDC zones, which gives us tremendous flexibility and allows us to accommodate those of our customers who require the use of a facility in Switzerland.”

Raphaël Salmon, Sales Directeor at Interoute France, commented: “We bring Spigraph the contractual and technological flexibility to tackle the fast pace of IT evolution and equipment obsolescence. More than a supplier, we are a strategic partner for Spigraph and operate at the heart of its business. Our support teams have worked closely with Spigraph to migrate its IT systems and advise on strategy. Today, we support Spigraph with a Unified ICT suite of services integrated onto our pan European infrastructure platform. Network, Unified Communications and Compute are all provided on the Interoute Networked Cloud, bringing flexibility, scalability and security to Spigraph’s international expansion and digital transformation journey.”
