Interoute named a leader in the 2012 Magic Quadrant for Pan-European Network Service Providers
Broadened portfolio of managed service and strong vision set Interoute apart from its competitors
London on 19 June 2012
Interoute, owner operator of Europe’s largest cloud services platform, today announced it has been placed in the Leaders quadrant in Gartner’s 2012 Magic Quadrant for Pan-European Network Service Providers report, published April 23, 2012. Within the context of an intensely competitive network services market the Magic Quadrant evaluates suppliers that offer fixed corporate networking services on a Pan-European scale. It additionally looks for those that offer value-added networking services, including, but not limited to, application-fluent networking, managed LANs, hosted or managed IP telephony, unified communications and managed security services.
Gartner analysts and co-authors of the report, Neil Rickard and Katja Rudd, state that leaders are those that have “a full portfolio of voice and data products, coupled with above-average service and support, wide European coverage and competitive pricing. They have a strong vision that includes adopting more information and communication technology (ICT) capabilities, which is a strategy they articulate clearly and openly”.
Interoute has made significant investment in recent years to develop a first in class Unified Connectivity offering, which provides enterprises with the flexibility to combine Ethernet, MPLS, Internet access and SIP trunks over a wide variety of access options. Interoute was the first European service provider to be certified by Microsoft for Lync Server 2010, SIP trunking.
Gareth Williams, CEO of Interoute, comments: “We are thrilled that Gartner, the market leading analyst house has recognised Interoute as a leader among pan European Service Providers. We deliver services that offer optimal cost, performance and efficiency that’s second to none. We believe our position in the Gartner Magic Quadrant is testament to our on-going commitment to support customers with our innovative portfolio of managed services that deliver a cutting edge business advantage.”
Interoute’s innovative enterprise services have attracted a host of high profile customers, including Deutsche Post, SCA, UEFA and Tieto. This continuing growth and development is reflected in Interoute’s strong financial results. In 2011, Interoute’s top-line revenues grew to €366 million for the year, a 24% increase over the same period in 2010, driven by a strong demand for Cloud services, bandwidth and infrastructure.
