Some of the world’s leading experts on the future of the planet and some of the most critical voices about climate change will meet on June 22nd in a global conference organized by EDPR and broadcasted live from Madrid. Amal Clooney, Adam Grant, Céline Cousteau, and Peter Frankopan are some of the well-known faces who will be taking part in the ‘We Choose Earth’ event.
The energy company EDP is organizing this global conference as part of its leadership in the energy transition, where it has made a commitment to be 100% green by 2030 and to fight climate change by promoting a movement to protect the planet in which leaders, organizations and society have a fundamental role to play.
The company aims to create moments of in-depth debate and share strategic reflections on the future of the planet, the main energy, and environmental adversities and also on the countless opportunities presented by these challenges.
This is the first time that these personalities have come together at the same event, which will feature a program combining debates and presentations on the energy transition and climate change, as well as on the global vision of the latest advances and strategies in the field of sustainability. Experts, innovators, scientists, artists, singers, and world leaders will gather live from Spain to highlight the urgency of acting to save the planet. Tickets to attend the online streaming can be find here : https://e.3cket.com/we-choose-earth-tour.
The harmony and balance between human and environmental factors; the importance of equity, environmental justice, and sustainability for society; the different dimensions from which to address the climate emergency; the need to act against ocean pollution; the challenges and opportunities for companies in these fields, are some of the topics that will be addressed during the event on 22 June.
For those who wish to attend in person, this great event has already opened the deadline for the purchase of tickets (tickets available on the EDP website). Because EDP believes that the energy transition must be fair and serve all communities, all money raised from ticket sales will go to different social organizations working on the environmental, social and energy transition fronts: ECODES, La España Azul and Ecomar.
